If you’re ever strolling down Alum Rock Road in Birmingham and find your cravings pulling you in all directions - from spicy wings to cheesy pizzas and comforting late-night bites - then Ginos Pizzeria Diner at 755 Alum Rock Rd might just be your new go-to. This unpretentious local gem brings together the bold flavors of fast food classics with a distinct twist that keeps locals coming back, especially when the sun sets and the dinner rush rolls in.
The menu at Ginos Pizzeria Diner doesn’t hold back. It’s the kind of place where you can roll in starving and still get overwhelmed by options - but in the best way possible. If you're a pizza enthusiast, you're in for a treat. The Half and Half Pepperoni & Chicken Italiano satisfies those indecisive moments with its split personality - spicy and smoky on one side, herby and juicy on the other. Their Gino Pizza Chicken is a solid crowd-pleaser too, loaded with tender chicken and just enough heat to wake up your taste buds. And let’s not ignore the BBQ Pizza, where the sweet-smoky sauce balances the savoury toppings perfectly.
But Ginos isn’t just about pizza. The Chicken Tikka Feast makes a bold statement, combining the essence of Indian flavors with comforting diner-style plating. And if you're a fan of loaded bites, don’t skip the Special Chicken Parmesan - melty, crispy, and topped with fries for that extra crunch factor. Speaking of fries, their Parmesan Fries add a luxurious touch to a fast-food staple.
Meat lovers will likely gravitate towards the Meat Feast or the stacked Doner Kebab Box, both hearty, satisfying, and exactly what you'd want after a long day. There’s also a solid lineup of Chicken Wings, Nuggets, and Fried Chicken - ideal for quick bites or sharing platters. For those who want to keep things classic, a Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich, or a Round Margherita Pizza are all available and done right.
Ginos caters to a wide range of dietary needs and cultural preferences too - everything is halal, making it a solid pick for Birmingham’s diverse community. It's also known for late-night food, which is a real lifesaver if you're searching for flavorful eats after regular restaurant hours.
And drinks? One word: Pakistani Mango Sunshine. This vibrant, tropical treat is the kind of refreshing surprise that takes the edge off spicy bites or rounds off a savoury meal with a fruity finish.
Now let’s talk vibe - Ginos Pizzeria Diner might not offer a wheelchair-accessible car park or entrance, which can be a drawback for some. However, what it does offer is a no-fuss, casual space for solo dining, quick takeaways, and relaxed dine-in moments. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on the go, enjoying dinner after work, or ordering in for a cozy night at home, their delivery and takeaway options are both reliable and quick. The setup includes counter service, dinner seating, and even catering options if you're planning for a larger group or event.
Everything about Ginos feels designed to deliver what you need, when you need it - fast, hot, and full of flavor. You’re not coming here for a white tablecloth experience; you’re coming for bold comfort food, generous portions, and a menu that reads like your cravings list.
Reviews
Tried this place for the first time, ordered the Italiano. Pizza was amazing, tasty but could do with a bit more toppings. They’ve just recently moved next door so the place wasn’t all ready. Service was good. Pizzas are a bit small for a large but the taste made up for it. Would definitely recommend if you’re passing by
Just wow! Tried the chicken parmesan deal from here and went on to order a further times! Absolutely delicious, had this along with the Gourmet Whopper burger which was so fresh and juicy (wish I took a picture!) Disappointed to see it wasn't the same case for a few others based on the reviews. Keep it up Ginos, please don't end up being a let down like other places I've tried!
